Default Facia

I wish to fit my Kenwood head unit to my Conny, I currently have the Rover radio cassette fitted. Looking for the the Facia adapters on Flea bay they all seem to be off set.
I was hoping to get one that would be centralised with the pocket above. Has anyone got an idea as to where I could get such an adapter?

you could probably get one from Rimmers but one of our good members may have one.

I don't believe it will, that fascia is for one of the 05 VDO units that are considerably smaller than the standard single DIN radio!

I did wonder about the shape right enough as mine is flat fronted and will take any single din. They crop up on here and ebay every now and then for sale though so will keep a look out.

Hi Nige,

I think I may have one in the spares department (cardboard box in the loft ) will have a look later at a more civilised time and get back to you.

Hi Nige. I got one of these for my saloon (not my car in pics),

Cost was £50 or so 3 years ago. It's a good fit and comes with rubber mat. The tray has holes in the back suitable for charger leads for phones etc. or iPod connector.

Part number FJV000670PUY from X-part.

There are 3 types of DIN Converters!

The one above which I prefer!

Kenwood, a scalloped type. Part number FJV000480PUY again from X-part.

And the VDO - thats made up of 2 parts! But wont work with any other Radio. So not much point in that one!!

As you have seen already the cheaper aftermarket ones are offset, but then that can be handy if you want to mount a phone cradle or a remote for your Bluetooth kit to the side of your radio, which many have done and makes a neat job to be fair.

Regards...Steve.

EDIT: Just looked in Rimmer Bros and they have in stock the Iovox fascia (top one), for £62.39!
If you run aground and no one can source one for you, come back to me and bend my arm, as mine is sitting spare at the moment. Sold the saloon and the tourer has the hi-line ICE, but was keeping the Iovox Fascia and my Alpine HU for the day the hi-line dies.

Hi Nige,

Right had a sort out in the spares dept. and found the one I have but I think it maybe the third one that Steve(Starman) mentioned that is only suitable for the VDO as it comes in two parts.

I got it in a box of bits from the previous owner of my car so, unless someone can tell us if it is suitable or not, if you want to take a chance it's yours for postage.
