My non-original wiring iritates me every time I reverse with the caravan or indicate to change direction.

So, original electrics, that's what you can do! I know that's not what you meant in your post, but wanted to advise in case you hadn't picked that up from other threads on the subject.

Hope that helps, Steve
Thanks for that steve, i had no idea mate,

I'll speak to my local dealer regarding the neccesary wires.

I bought mine on eBay - I think it was about £100 plus shipping.

I also bought the electrics on the bay of flea - I can't remember exactly how much that was, but I think about £30. I haven't installed this yet, though.

Rapid6 i have a towbar in the garage when i looked at my 75 on line it showed a towbar when i went to pick it up it was not on. I told the garage i wanted it as it was advertised so they put it in the boot.

They told me it was just 3 bolts so i dont know if that is classed as detachable. But they have cut the wireing if its any good i will take £90 + Post or pick up.

As I suspected, no too many positive opinions

Dave has hit the nail on the head - these lights should be looked at in the overall context of the car. My 75 is a facelift and I really am a big fan of the revised front end on the mk2. It still looks modern even today, while at the same time retaining the retro look.

The facelift back end, however, was a bit of a disaster. All they did was remove the chrome strip and changes the bumper very slightly. Why didn't they spend a few thousand and get new lights? - even change the lens colours a bit. The MG7 lights would be OK, I suppose, but these are a good substitute IMHO.

In short, I think these lights really suit my black facelift and freshen up the whole car a bit without (hopefully ) chavving it up.

Just my opinion, of course

I'll try and get more pics when the car is a bit cleaner.

I think they look quite good considering you've put them on a 75. I thought that kind of thing would lower the tone of the 75 but (maybe because it's black) your's looks good. It's something I'll definitely consider for my ZT but, with it being Grey, they might not look so good. Some serious thought and perhaps some "Photoshop-ing" required.

Remember, it's your car so if you like a mod, do it. Your not out to please others!

CDTi

I think they suit your car well because of the dark paintwork. IMO not Chav at all.

I've been toying with the idea of changing the lights on my Trophy Blue ZT but after alot of photochopping I have decided that none of the current replacements look good with the colour. I think I will wait until the MG7 lights are available.

Regards

Dave
