I know that Alan Millyard (engineer extrordinaire) likes to use the pin oiler on his machines. So I woud consider that, but he never mentions ZX1.

Actually, in one of his very latest videos of his Kawasaki 6 cylinder he puts it into his engine before he starts it up.

I put 250ml into my 75 diesel and it was immediately noticable. Smoother, quieter, and less engine breaking which would indicate less friction. Over the next 25 miles or so the effects got even stronger. I was so impressed I purchased a further 250ml bottle for our other car, a 1.4 petrol. Exactly the same result, I am hooked. I figured if you can actually feel the difference, then it must be doing something. An added bonus is the trip computer in the Kia, is consistently showing an MPG improvement of about 2 to 3 mpg.

I have no connection with this company or product, I just tried it and I am impressed with it, and I don't normally use anything like this. Normally, I just change the oil more often than recommended and leave it at that.

Look it up on the internet, or give it a go.
Way back I was a bit of a biker (Norton 650SS/Velocette Thruxton) and a regular TT visitor. Sometime in the early 60's a friend had rebuilt the engine of one of his stable (poor man's mini BMW R69 - a 200cc horizontal twin Velocette Valiant, the air cooled version of the famous police Noddy Bike 'streamlined' watercooled Velocette LE - sigh....) specifically to visit the Island in June.
The rebuild (new reconditioned crankshaft, pistons etc. by a Velo specialist) was running a bit behind schedule and we were now missing some of the early practice days but he finally got it nailed back together (a twee engine design held togther with many small bolts, 3/16" or maybe 1/4" BSF stuff but you only needed a couple of spanners and a screwdriver to pull it all to bits) but following a short test drive late one night we set off in the dark next moring for Liverpool to catch the early sailing to Douglas (that normally was about a 40 mile due west 'A' roads ear'ole ride for us but the engine had to be run-in so we took it gently - not easy on my Thruxton with close ratio box/dirty great 500cc single 'club' race tuned engine).
We got less than half way before his engine tightened and pretty well siezed in quick order so the rest of the journey was made with him in tow behind the Thruxton, at a significantly higher speed joined together by two Barbour jacket belts - including going through the Mersey Tunnel).
The point of this apparent rambling being that he'd filled the Valiant with Castol X (I think it was X, might have been the early itteration of Magnatec) but it was 'the' first really new Castrol product on the market at the time - lower friction, better performance, lower fuel consumption etc.
The engine was bu...red so it had to be rebuilt, again, on the pavement outside the boarding house in Douglas, during TT week (I think Stephens - a Velo specialist in London - flew a replacement crank assembly over for him) and it was all back together in time to ride around the course for what was then the last day of the TT races the following Friday.
Stephens gave strict instruction NOT to use the X/Magnatec because it was the oil that caused the problem preventing everything that moved from the traditional bedding-in process of the day - something in the oil ya know!!
...and the Valiant engine went to new home double quick - nice idea but too delicate. My pal then bolted a 200cc Arial Arrow Sports two stroke engine (fitted with two Wal Phillips fuel injectors) into the Valiant frame (as it was designed for a horizontal opposed twin it was a much lower ground clearance than a traditional space frame that needed to keep the slung crankcase clear of the road surface); it handled like a dream and went like stink and you could wring it's neck without any complaint.
Happy days.

Thanks I must have missed that one.
