I am indeed and there's a reason behind my madness.

For years I've spent on cars and projects over the years.
I've built my savings slowly but its never really gone very high.

I was thinking about it for the last few weeks but my heart overided everything.

There things that are inportant too me that i want too able too save up for instants mortgage house etc.

But I'll never do that if I keep ploughing and plunging more and more into something all the time.

I love cars I love working on them I find it fun and enjoyable but I realise that's its becoming more of a passion money pit that I've fallen into and its been on going for years.

I want too reach my target but I just can't reach it and I know why I keep doing the same thing and now i want too take a break from motors for a while just too build up slowly and finally reach my savings target and both cars sold will help towards that.

I've taken the rover off ebay been offered some extra during the day straight after my regular job so going too keep it a while longer but if I did sell I'd rather it go too a club member then anyone.

I would let it go for £450 once my jobs have been completed.
With spares thrown in as well.

I can completely relate to this.

I have a job I enjoy but I don't earn massive money.

After bills, shopping and mortgage there's a couple hundred quid left over at the end of every month which the head says 'Stick it in your savings'.

But at the end of the day I'm a car lover, it's a hobby and a passion of mine and there's always that one job you want to do that eats up the money you had left over.

Luckily mine aren't costing too much to run lately. An oil and filter service every 6 months and the cost of the MOT, tax and insurance I can live with.

But I've got a baby on the way now and there comes a time you have to really think hard about whether you really need that panel resprayed because it lets the car down, or whether I really need those stainless steel bolts for the bumpers.

There are more important things at the end of the day but cars do strange things to us - and people say they are just things!

I think most of us can relate to this!

I'm thinking twice about spending £200 on my advisories, on top of the £70+ cost of the parts...and another £230 on refurbishing my alloys - do they really need it? Plus I've spent over £100 on new carpet...plus mats...tyre repair (screw in the tread, was necessary...) and I could do with re-doing my radio/satnav system...just ordered new pollen and air filters...thinking about new tyres all round...new jack and axle stands to get underneath the car, just to remove surface corrosion...with new wire brushes and tins of kurust...and I'm still waiting on my electric power hose to clean the car with the 5 litres of snow foam and extra bottle purchased online. This being stuck at home must have been great for online businesses!

Where does it all end?

If you can afford to "enjoy" your car then all good. If you are spending alot of your spare cash and its leaving you short to buy other things then there is nothing wrong with selling it.
I sold my last ZT as it was a tad too big and wanted something a bit newer. Money is hard to come by and spending it on a car that is going to take most of your spare money up is not practical. You can still come on here and have a natter!
Since I sold my ZT Ive owned
A 2006 BMW 3.20d SE
2007 BMW 320d M Sport 163
2010 BMW 320D M Sport 172
2009 Ford Focus ST 225 (Bluefinned to 272 bhp)
And now drive a 2012 Golf GTD DSG 170 soon to be put up for sale as I have just purchased a 2013 Berlingo van with air con, parking sensors and bluetooth.
Needs must as they say. I still love to see the cars on here!
