Hi all while sitting at traffic lights tonight the engine management light started flashing.I pulled over and turned the car off, waited a few minutes and started the car again light turned off. due to the fact that i was miles from home i started driving again.Next set off traffic lights engine sounded and felt like it was struggling next thing light on again.car drives fine and sounds fine until i am stationary for about 20 seconds.anyone know what the problem could be?R75, 2002,1.8 petrol.

sounds like it a misfire. it could be caused by any number of things, spark plugs, plug leads, coil packs. just give them a check over, one may be damaged or not performing properly
