Thanks Basi ... err, Phil. You have no slow speed which means renew the resistor!

I think this tread about condenser cleaner has been hi-jacked by fan motors.

It mentions a "professional" method for application:
http://www.1z-usa.com/klima-cleaner-...l#.VBPpnNq9KSM

Do you think this is possible for our cars? The examples have the pollen filter right over the motor with the filter in the glove box which differs from ours.

My aircon stinks!

Hi Dave,

Generic instructions are a guide to what is required, but have to be adapted for the vehicle concerned. The essential thing is that the bactericide is deposited onto the surface of the evaporator. For our cars nebrog23 came up with the idea of intercepting a drain tube in the footwell. This is the method I intend to try.

I'm pleased to report that Phil has fitted a new resistor and now has a fully functioning fan.

Default Thread Resurrection

How did any of the original thread contributors get on with this?
Did anybody else ever try this stuff?
Did you use it through the face vents? The drain tube? The air recirculation vent? How much did you use? Did it work? Was it messy? Would you or have you used it again?

Any and all experience welcome as would like to freshen up the air con smell... without messing up the interior or the ductwork and vents.
Thanks in advance.
