Default Waste of a day

Went to look at 2 Conn se v6 today.
First one looked great in brg
Header tank cap was very tight . So had to get them to take off. Started ok but had a knock from around the belts area.
Let it run a bit.and yes sure enough started pushing water out the top with a nice mix of air.
But the cap back on and it still pushed coolant out. Sales man insisted on putting the cap back on and tighting the cap to breaking point.

2nd one looked nice in black.
And that's as far as it went. Boot so full of water that it covers the tyre. Intake was so loud that it was loads louder than the engine on tick over.
Then the code reader went on.
Gearbox ECU fault
Injector fault
Misfire
Fan not working
Sales man says it's ok we will sort it all out and replace it all that's faulty.
I just said good luck when you see the price of the inlet manifold
So 300 miles and not even a sniff of a good 75 connsuer se

Don't see it as a wasted day - very important to sort the wheat from the chaff, and a good way to ensure you end up with a decent motor.

Air in the cooling system is typical of a KV6 that hasn't been refilled correctly but it's easily corrected. If you fancy the car big up the problem and tell him you'll take it off his hands for a substantial downward negotiation on price.

This might be worth investigating if you're tempted by another two cylinders. V8 / 30,354 miles

Each to their own Steve but a big thirsty engine combined with poverty spec doesn't do it for me, and neither does the colour.
