Is there anyone with T4 in the Essex area
Hi all, just wondered if there was anyone in Essex with access to T4?
I have recently purchased a gold Rover 75 Tourer which has a couple of issues that I am slowly sorting out. The electric mirrors do not work at present, and the drivers door lock needs changing. Having read up about this, I understand it is a very common fault. I am planning to change the door lock actuator soon, but I would like the speed locking and the double press to unlock switched off before I do, in order to not wear out the new actuator. Can anyone help with this? It also requires some paint correction due to the previous owner re-spraying parts of the bumpers and the front wing. Will post some pics of the car once I have had a go at this. |

That's probably the driver's door switch pack which needs taking out, taking apart and the contacts cleaning with contact cleaner and/or a pencil rubber. There's an excellent "how-to" on here somewhere although I think you might need to be a subscribed member to access it.

Kevin at Wickford is a MG Rover specialist and has a T4.
He knows these cars inside out and is very competent. P.M. me if you would like his phone number. |

Yep, the mirrors will be down to dirty contacts on the driver's door switch pack.

The mirrors not working will just be the contacts on the driver's switch pack needing cleaning. I can change the dealer options for you in Thurrock Essex, however I use toaf so if you ever plug into a t4 at a later date you'll need the dealer options changed again as the t4 undoes any dealer option changes done using toaf. |
