I've got ZV7's and am very happy with them (on 16" Unions).

I've done about 12K on them and I reckon they've got at least another 8K in them.

Quite quiet and plenty grippy enough for me.

Make sure you have 4 wheel tracking done and have a full tank of fuel for it.

Good luck with whatever you go for.

A car dealer thought I was obsessed with rubber as my purchase was geared around getting new tyres fitted in the deal. I didn't buy the car!
I've got just one rule now. Always fit the best tyres you can afford.
Had 4 Avon ZV7's fitted in October 2019. Good tyres. Grip and stopping distance good.
Then the 2 front ones needed changing. Put on 2 Goodyears. Even better. Quiet, sharper handling. Only time will tell if they last long.
Decided to put them on the rear and wear out the older Avons first. Definitely different and not quite as good as the Goodyear but they do the job well.
MGTF 4 Uniroyals
MGZT 4 Avons
BMW had 4 Michelins until a few weeks ago and now has 4 new Cooper tyres. They are good for my wife's 5k per year. I'll see how long they last.
Peugeot has the Goodyears on the rear and Avon up front. I'll buy Goodyears again.
A few years ago I bought a ZS which had budget tyres fitted. They soon came off when I struggled to stop in the rain when someone pulled out in front of me. Now I avoid budgets completely. Safety is my main concern now.
I still think Michelins are the best.

When it comes to the time I need to change my tyres, I'll go for Avons. I had ZV7s on my Mondeo and my ZS before that with directional ZV1s on my 216GTi and 416. Never had a problem with excessive wear or cracking. Grip seems progressive and doesn't suddenly give up on cornering.
I'm currently running a mixed bag of budget brands (Landsail and something else) that the previous owner had fitted. They're OK and fine for just pootling around, but I much prefer to press on a bit.

Cool

Both of my cars have Continental Conti Sports on.

I tried Uniroyal Rain Spots but they wore out too quickly, especially on the V8.

Only Goodyear or Dunlop for me (15"). They hold the road very well even on wet weather, aren't noisy and last long enough.

Had the goodyears before. Good tyres but wore out quicker than the Nokian's I usually fit.

I have recently put two Avon ZV7 on the front of the CDT. They grip very well but are slightly noisier than my AAB rated Pirelli P7 Cintrautos that were on the car previously. But then the P7s cost about 30% more and one of them developed a bump fter just 13k miles.

I've had Goodyear Efficient Grip previously and really liked them.

Ive had Uniroyal on a few ZTs and have been pretty good only down side was they decided to start to split after 2 years. Had Contis on loads of cars but they do wear out quickly and "let go" when you get near to the wear bars. I now have Michelin pilot sports on my Golf, 304 bhp on the front wheels and are a great tyre and the owners club seem to recommend these as a top all rounder. Its all down to budget also. Goodyears are also a great tyre and you can grab a good deal if you search the web.

I have Avon's on all 4 wheels, sorry but I'll never ever buy Avon's again. ALL 4 have cracks all the way round , down in the bottom of the tread. The front two are only a couple of years old, and the rears probably about 4 years. All have lots of tread, but they will all need to be changed before the next MOT. Last MOT, the tested pointed them out to me.

Michelins do that, too, now. I had to replace all 4 of my Primacy all-season tires last fall. Lots of tread and all cracked in the grooves. It seems it is being caused in tires made in Europe because of the EU eco rules affecting the manufacturing process and chemicals used.
