non starts and cutting out - possibly the injectors but also the crank sensor - when she fails to start does the rev counter flicker at all? If not the crank sensor is faulty. Also if your car has under bonnet fuel pump they can fail and cause those symptoms especially if the tank is less than half full.

AM not 100% sure, Roger, but he was on the old T4 map many moons ago. Very pleasant and decent to deal with too. Pain for me to get to (I hate going to ards from Carrick lol)

ref the OPs problem, a bit of a long shot but happened with me on an old car years ago. Turned out to be an old blocked fuel filter (an inline universal one with at least 50k miles on it!). Scary pulling out of a junction, but fine once on the move, albeit down on power, with more fuel demand.

Now that's not the attitude Alan... any excuse to drive that lovely TF surely

I'd be happy to run TOAF for the OP if she likes, but I wouldn't want to interfere between her and the dealer, who's responsible... might give him an "out"...

If you are referring to the T4 map I made, its as up to date as I can make it but if people don't tell me about changes I can't make them.

I will say the Ards facebook header pic is a row of Rover 75s.

Always a dodgy position, but it may help even the garage, so perhaps the OP could check with the garage if they have a T4. I suspect even a high end diagnostic would lead a mechanic around the houses in this instance. Reading the injectors and fuel flow figures would at least give an indication.

Until I discovered the back roads through Dundonald, I detested it altogether. I had to make monthly trips to the vets for specialist bird food, discovered it online now, so saves both fuel and at least an hour and a half of time. Always had to be a Saturday, so getting through the Abbeycentre and town traffic, then hitting it Asda in Dundonald, is why I hated it so much

I wasnt criticising (to be honest, I havent looked at it for years!), rather pointing out my memory or information from it, may be out of date lol.
