How did you remove this key thumb chrome shroud, with out pulling outwards the spring clip i referred to above?

If both of the above have been removed then the handle inside the door should be able to be removed from the car.

The points coloured are then popped open to reveal the cable

Hello Artic, How I did it,, I slid the small chrome trim backwards and lifted it off, The thumb section lifted out with no resistance, I then slid the pull handle backwards and pulled it outwards and then unhooked it at the front..

The two torque screws came out easily so then the whole back plate was loose. This is when I cant remove it from the door. So it looks like the glass needs to be removed to give me room to remove it,Unless you know of another way

It will be one of those jobs that if I leave it then go back to it it will probably fall out with out trying..

Hi John.
If the thumb section came away without any resistance then the pins on the back must be broken, otherwise it would not have been able to remove without pulling out the spring which i pointed to in the above posts.

The handles needs to have the bar slipped out in the link below B and the window regulator to make access easier.
