Diesel fuel line question
Evening all.
Wondered if I could pick your brains regarding my diesel 75. It isn't on my V6. Underneath and behind the drivers side rear foot well, there is a small rubber mounted cylinder connected to the fuel tank with what looks like a 2 wire sensor plug connected on the top. Can anyone tell me what this is, and if possible point me towards the part number or Rimmer Bros link if possible please? Thanks in advance. Ben. |

Is there a pipe from the tank at one end and a pipe at the other end that vanishes up the back of the engine ? If so it sounds like the Webasto cab heater fuel pump. Has the car got a Webasto heater ?

As stated above that will be the FBH dosing pump, why do you need the part number ? is it not working. Thomas Magnete 89372A 1 2

If replacing, dont be tempted by the cheap £20 versions as they dont supply enough fuel for the FBH. I bought a used webasto one from a member and it works perfick whereas the other didnt keep the heater going at all.

That's the kiddie! Thanks all.
The car is undergoing a bit of work. The FBH was working, as Steve and Rob had helped me with it last year, also supplying me with the remote mod. It's just very heavily corroded, so thought I would try and refurb but perhaps I'll leave it alone while it's working. |

They can be removed and cleaned up just go carefully, put some tube over the ends to stop any debris from getting into the pump. 1 Put in a vice clamp slightly. 2 Then scrap body slowly and carefully. 3 Go all the way round. 4 Clean the end very carefully the same. 5 Add KRUST 6 7 Use some paint which ever you have around. 8 9 Spray over coat 10 You can then refit it back on the car.

As above, go carefully when removing.
The fuel lines can be difficult to pull away from the pump, and if you apply too much twisting motion, the “spigots” on the pump can break off, especially if very corroded. Don’t ask how I know…🙄 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
