Default Rear seat

Hiya, I took my rear seat out today to try to find out why I had a space between the seat base and the seat back and now I can't get the back to line up with the locking lugs, the holes in the seat are too high and to the left of the catchplates (if that's the term for them). It's a saloon, any tips please?

Are we talking the base? You need to push it as far back as you can with your knees, then press down the front edge onto the pins. Ideally, a piece of wood wit a "V" cut in to push the steel prongs back over the hooks. It's a knack

It's the back of the seat that doesn't line-up with the locking catches, the holes look to be too high and slightly to the left but it is hard down on the side bolster pieces.

The pivot pins need to be correctly fitted into the hinge pin Best way to do this is to remove the base, lay the back flat and locate the pins correctly

They can be a pain, when you get it fixed do a search on here for a mod by neilbaker86. It correctly approaches the problem and I've never had any more problems with mine since.
