Thank you Rev I know what you mean about the joys of getting old, everything seems to be falling to bits, The consultant said it's a good job you came to see us sooner rather than later so I'm taking that as a good sign. I hope you're as well as can be.

Yeah me too, I cant go out in this heat for long as I burn to a crisp very easily. I've got the big rotating fan going in the house to move the air about, Terrible trying to sleep in muggy air at night too.

Cool

It has hit 29.5 degrees here. Too bloomin’ hot for me. But the parasol is up so sitting in the shade with a glass of cold water. Listening to Simply Red on the music box.

Ros and I are off to see Simply Red at Colchester Park in August . Which is quite amusing seeing that we went to see them at the O2 a few years ago on their final tour

They will replace the apixaban with another medication that I need to inject in my stomach myself, Gets better & better
LOL I think my prostate is in neutering territory.
Ian, it’s a worrying time for you. 3 months ago, I was investigated for prostate cancer then started on medication (hormone based) to shrink the size of the prostate and to improve the flow, so far so good. No cancer detected. But an enlarged prostate weighing 70g was found. The urologist said it’s going to take at least 6 months to see an improvement. 10 years ago, my youngest brother was diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer, but with treatment involving robotic surgery, radiation and hormone injections, he is still doing well. The staff will teach you how to administer the shots into your tummy and should give you a sharps bin for the disposable syringes and needles to go into. The syringes and needles are usually supplied “all in one” with the medication pre-loaded.

Keep us posted.

Hi Phil, Yeah a bit worrying but it's good to know You & your younger brother are doing good dealing with prostate trouble, Things seem to be moving fast as the relevant depts at Bolton hospital have been ringing with appointments, I've got a MRI scan first thing Monday morning & an appointment with the DVT dept about stopping the apixaban prior to the biopsy & how to use the bridging meds with injections.

The urology dept has rang today too with an appointment for the biopsy on the 12 July so all happening very fast.
Thanks for the advice

just watered the gardens/plants & greenhouses as it's been a scorcher today.

I made Bolognese sauce with pork mince & pasta for tea tonight
