Default number plates

I am looking to get some new numbers plates and I know about seller hardridden on ebay who can do plates with the MG/Rover logos.

His site lets you preview the design and to have the text "MG Rover Group" and the logos, in different sizes.

The choices of size range from 2mm to 13mm, but I am not sure what the measurements refer to, the letters or the logos.

So does anyone have any photos of ther plates 'in situ' on the car and in particular can you say what size you selected for the logo/strapline. Front and rear if poss.

Thanks

Here is mine from Hardridden. I didn't know what size to go for either and went for size 10. It refers to the logo at the bottom of the plate. The normal registration lettering cannot be changed in size for legal reasons. See mine below, hope it helps!

Demon Plates make some amazing number plates. You can customise them every which way from sunday.

The raised carbon fibre looks superb IMO

Any more pics of other logo sizes, or front plates with the logos? Thank you.

That plate is a legal plate. For such plates, Demon Plates require you to scan and email your documents. you can just see the BS mark in the top right hand corner. I go for 3D text.

http://www.demonplates.com/platebuilder.php

If you click on the 'Plate size' Tab, at the top then click on Model-specific car plates, then click on ROVER 75 (INCLUDING ZT) you will get the smiley plate

+1

Yes they are road legal. carbon effect is legal (as is 3D & 'Hi-Line' font finishes) adn the typeface and letter size is within spec.

Plus they double as show plates because they look awesome IMO

Not wanting to seem picky (I can be a pedantic so & so at times ), but it would seem that the MG logo under the GB symbol contravenes DVLA requirements, which states that "You are not allowed to display any other flag or symbol..." (other than the EU, or National flag - see page 12 here: https://www.gov.uk/government/upload.../dg_067666.pdf)

Having said that, I have to agree, they are stunning looking plates, and in the real world, I don't suppose the MG symbol would cause any issues unless you are unfortunate enough to get pulled by a traffic cop who is having a bad day!

Not been pulled yet (Touch Wood ) and my MOT tester didn't question anything. I did ask him however when i took it in, as i was unsure about the raised letters. He apparently checked with the Doovla and they said they were fine.

I must admit, I've never seen the raised letters before. They really do look good.

I would hope that the police have better things to worry about than "illicit" MG badges, so hopefully you'll be ok - would be a real shame to have to change those plates. Need a fingers crossed smiley here!
