You're lucky, I had a 10 year old 1.2 fiesta, with a claimed value of £4000 on the happy form they give you when you sign for the keys!
But they do say courtesy cars and hire cars are the fastest cars in the world |

Not a courtesy car but the worst car I've ever driven was when my wife was taking lessons, we hired a dual control Corsa from Arnold Clark. Dear God, it was so rattly I thought it a diesel, shocked when I saw a petrol sticker at the filler.

My friend had his 75 1.8 written off and demanded from the car hire service Enterprise Rent-A-Car, that he got like for like in engine size.
They gave him a new Vauxhall Insignia 1.8. I collected it and took it back and did all the driving. I have to say I really liked it but it was a bit heavy on the fuel. We used it to move house for him. This was back in 2011 when it snowed really bad. It griped and drove well in the snow, fully loaded with plenty of space. If it wasn't for the fact that I am totally smitten with my 75, I would seriously consider the Diesel version.
