Hi peeps, what is the best grade of oil for V6? 10w 40 or something else? Cheers.

10/40 is the recommended grade and is what I always use. Check out Euro Car Parts. They've got 50% off at the moment. I ordered some last night.

The manual recommendation is 10w40 Semi Synth, and personally that's what i'd stick with. It would have been recommended from the factory for a reason.

do a search on here, there are countless threads on the subject of 'Which oil is best'

Most Motor Factors list 5w40 FS as the recommended oil for the KV6, but i can't see why. Other than the fact its quite a bit dearer than 10w40.

Just buy a reputable brand of 10w40 and you'll be fine
