Default Message center

Hi all.
I'm guessing that a mk1 message centre will not go over to a mk2 with out loads of messing about. Both v6 .
Asking as going to look at a mk2 and the picture looks like a box standard message center.

Thanks all

been done on two cars for me.
See if the digital speedo can be activated at the same time.
I had to replace the indicator stalk with one with a button on the end as well

not sure if is MK1 has symbols that light up when there is a problem, where the MK2 has an lcd that shows a picture and words of warning

The dial faces, and the backlight illumination colour

Lowline IPK have no message centre display, the warnings being simple pictogram leds, and highline ones display on a screen and have trip computer functions such as MPG, distance to empty, secondary trip mileage, digital speedometer etc.

Done some research and it looks like it's a t4 job .
As well as changing from the mk1 to a mk2 there is some coding to sort out.

Thanks

Have you got parking sensors? Sounder on a Mk1 is in the rear parcel shelf, and Mk2 inbuilt in the IPK.
