Default Wiper feature.

After 13 years of ownership I noticed a new to me feature whilst driving in the rain today. Now I'm probably making fool of myself here (won't be for the first time) and you are going to say fancy not knowing that, but the car has never been a daily and rarely gets used in the rain.

I did't know that when on speed 1 the wipers revert to intermittent wipe when coming to a halt and then back to speed 1 as you start to move again. How cool is that I thought, always nice to find a new surprise

Yes, this is a feature and can be turned off via T4 if it annoys anyone (as can the auto park of the wipers)

When you switch off the wipers, they automatically return to their home position, this can be switched off so you can stop the wipers in any position on the screen.

Why would you want to do that?

I think what he means is when you turn the ignition off.

No, you can stop the wipers anywhere on the screen, I can remember when cars would do that as standard

So you can put newspapers under to stop the windscreen freezing in winter, saves having to scrape them on a frosty morning 😎
