Default andriod radio keeps searching for channels

Hi all i fitted a android radio sat nav from a BMW e46 M3 into my Rover 75 tourer everything works fine but radio every now and then goes off channel and starts searching i would imagine it's because of a bad reception but it is very annoying is there a way to stop this happening thanks in advance

A hard one to answer without knowing the specific model.
What I would suggest is going into the radio settings and switching off AF (alternative frequencies) that may do the trick

Make sure the aerial amplifier is getting 12v from the headunit.

On the android unit there will be a wire to switch on an amplifier, usually used for audio amps, but also used to power the aerial amp in the back of the car.
