Default Tank straps

Hi all..

Has anybody got a set of fuel tank straps in the Weymouth area? I'm currently camping in chickerell, near Weymouth and the RHS part of the tank straps has just snapped. So, I am stuck on the campsite.
Can anyone help? I can fit them if I can get hold of a set

Failing that it's the AA to go home to Scotland...

Kindest regards, Kevin

Can you get some of that heavy duty strapping from Screwfix etc Kev? Get you home at least

Thanks for the reply, and that may be on the cards Ronnie, going to go to a local scrapyard first thing, then make a decision...

Why not get the AA to you and if they can't fix it, you have a relaxing, low cost journey home? Good luck with it though.

It might not be so relaxing if it’s ‘relay’.

It works if you're as tight fisted as I am. The changeover normally takes place on service areas so at least one has facilities.

Hi all, and sorry for the late reply... and thanks for the replies... I ended up fixing it with 20mm galvanised strapping from Toolstation. 36" is the length I used. I used the ends off the broken strap to keep the new strap aligned and give it abit more strength. the 20mm strap also fits nicely into the main part of the tank "straps".. No probs at all with the fix, and its still fitted at the moment. I have ordered some stainless straps online and are awaiting them arriving this week
