Frustration
I have the offer of a car from a member that, although not my particular ideal spec., would be a practical alternative at a not silly price.
There's also a car advertised by a dealer that is my ideal spec. but it's over priced. Both need inspection and the latter one would require significant haggle. Oh and one is 170 miles away and the other at least 200 miles distant. BUT It's lockdown and I'm 73, unvaccinated at this time and running on one slightly dodgy kidney, so I don't want Covid. I'll stay home.

You are more important than any material thing.
Lockdown means that we have more time to indulge our quests for various things. I recently bought a digital SLR camera and am equally frustrated, as I would love to get out and take some landscape photographs. Winter is not a good time for lockdowns. Everyone's mental health is suffering along with their physical health. I'm a reasonably "stable" sort of person but just lately have been known to issue the odd "Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh "! Stay safe and look forward to better times.

I understand your frustration. I have some Dexion to collect and it is sitting, I hope, at the suppliers all paid for.

If it's a health and safety repair or installation, you should be allowed to go to collect it!

This is what lockdown does to you, no disrespect RB, you start looking for angles and edges past the restrictions. I can understand that and RB may well be right, but the spirit of lockdown is to minimise contact as much as possible and thereby limit opportunities for transmission. That's the principle that I work to.
