The OP has fitted a replacement SRS ECM, so it will almost certainly need resetting with a T4, mine certainly did.

I think this testbook is too old for configuring new SRS ECU in Rover 75?
But another guy have Launch x431. Maybe this diagnostic computer can do that?

Thanks, just cannot find help anywhere, and cannot go to MOT because SRS light is constantly on...
That is Testbook 3 so should be able to run DST0006V and do everything T4 is able to do, albeit a little slower.

So yes the SRS DCU can be introduced to your car with this equipment

Glad you noticed this Bri we've been trying to help Oxygen on this thread

http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...67#post2093267

He's come a long way in his restoration and is nearly there getting a stored 75 back on the road.

What I want to know is where he got brand new YDB100310 from??
Or did he use 101340 instead?

Jules

What? a side impact sensor? I thought he'd replaced the SRS DCU

Yes DCU and side sensors to no avail Bri
Really needs to get SRS system interrogated as it's a guessing game otherwise

I can test his old DCU here if it helps ?

Guys, i will repeat
I got R75 with 60k km on the clock (about 37k mls).
Old owner had problem with water inside, so SRS light is on. He tested car somewhere, and service workers told to him that problem is with SRS ECU. So old owner ordered this part from Rimmer Bros ( http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/Item--i-YWJ101590 ) and sold it to me together with car. I removed central panel, found that SRS ECU with little signs of water. Removed and installed new, but light still on. I checked sensors- as well have signs of water! Ordered two new from Rimmer Bros. Installed- still no effect BTW all seats connectors is resoldered with new.
About sensors codes:
I ordered two: http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/Item--i-YWJ101340 - at the boxes i see YWJ101340, but inside is just new YDB100310 sensors.

Ok you will have to configure a virgin DCU
We've never had to do that as we always use good tested used ones

So you fit a saloon SRS DCU to a tourer, what happens then?

Ah, I hear people ask....the result permanent airbag light with open circuit faults on the rear seat belt pretensioners reported,

Similar if a car has had a donor ECU set fitted, if the ZCS coding data came from that of a car with say for sake of argument curtain airbags, the car will have a hissy fit if the SRS DCU is configured using this data, only the LSM and IPK will be unscathed as the data cannot be rewritten due to the VIN being locked in these modules.

I think Oxygen's best course of action is to get the car on the testbook he has access to and take it from there

Appreciate that Bri but that basic advice was before Oxygen had found some kit over there which will help him.

For folk with absolutely no prospect of T4, my old fashioned method of using a scrapper DCU worked 80% of the time because majority of SRS systems in 75's are poverty spec.
