Default NNN500340 diesel ecu

ECUs seem to be getting cheaper so starting to think of a spare.
Does the NNN500340 Freelander TD4 ECU fit the 75/ZT CDT as well?

And are there any differences for auto/manual one needs to think about when sourcing?

Hi,

same question here. The original ecu of the cdt is NNN100692, depending on the testbook-software you could replace it with the newer one, in theory. Does anyone know more?

Greetings, Tom

just found this which is one a polish R75 site, and refers to it! Cant translate as my computer says bablefish is dodgy phishing site...

Unhappy

does this make any sense ??

CDTi ()] Wherebyprzez co distinguish whether we've until act of commission ex version CDT , whether CDTi? Best peep to nr VIN truck. Steadier denomination ( and in the main unlike computer steers injector ) assembly were ex nr VIN of nozzle 4D310726 on incidents aut appointed on the serious cases automatyczną , and ex 4D310720 on incidents the serious cases manualnej. There is room to so trace in the guise of control motor ( upright progenitor until autarky be situated she dexter , on vicinity undergrowth ). Steadier version this nr NNN500340, whereas elders this NNN100720A ( drive-in-bank ) or NNN100692 ( manual ).

no - not entirely - we need to find a pole!

the owner of one of the on selling on ebay says
"Please check the code on your existing one as it may fit any of the models mentioned , the code is the important factor . I bought it as advertised for 75 and ZT but when i took it to the garage they told me it will not be suitable as it is a different code to the one fitted in my car, hence it is unused and uncoded."

The Td4 ecu should be different because it has variable geometry turbo controlled by a additional ecu driven solenoid valve. I would expect the firmware to therefore, be significantly different.
So if you tried one, it would moan and it would have to be new which ever you bought or it cannot be coded to the immobiliser/alarm.

The text says that from VIN 4D310726 (AT) and from 4D310720 (MT) the newer ECU for CDTi was used (NNN500340). Therefore it was the NNN100720A for AT and the NNN100692 for MT.

We tried to install the NNN500340 in a 2002 CDT manual transmission. Testbook-Software was from 01/2005 and still demanded the NNN100692. Maybe with newer Software it would be possible to NNN500340 in older cars than mentioned above.

But all ECU's have to be new and unprogrammed before fitting them, otherwise it wont work. Because the NNN500340 did not work in an 2002 CDT, I got one left, new and unprogrammed.
