Default Swallows

We're converting an old barn at the mo' and look who's moved in before us

Taken from the top of a ladder with a telephoto lens. The parents kept dive bombing me

We have many tens of swallows. They nest around the out buildings. Every where you go in summer you can here them tweeting as they swoop over the ground catching insects. We have a stable yard where they nest in the stables. If you stand in the yard they dart around you as they fly in and out the doors to get to their nests in the rafters. To me they are one of the main sights I look forward to each year.

Try taking a pic of one in flight though

Lovely pic mininuts.

I look forward to the Swallows every year, for some reason they are becoming fewer and fewer. 9 years ago there were hundreds this year hardly any

Thank you. An equally lovely pic of yours. I love the closed beaks on the young swallows, almost wider than their heads
