Went to adjust the handbrake, ended up derusting the Os rear wheel arch with the fuel pipe cover looking a bit tired.
Then found hole in the original NS rear upper arm, so replaced that Funny how a 30 min job ended up all day. Had to rush the job in the end as family went out in daughter's cmax and it stuck in 1st gear 15 mile's away, got recovered but I had to bring the family home due to covid rules

After 8 months sitting idle on a SORN, taxed the car today and took it for a trip around the Cotswolds with an Italian tune up on the way to clean out her pipes. So good to be back on the road. Happy bunny

Took my car to have the wheels aligned after the tre replacement, it was out quite a bit.
Then got complimented about how good a condition the car was in and how nice it looked, the guy was surprised when he saw the mileage to the condition and said it looked as tho it had done about 30000 and not 168000, made my day. |

Put the 75 back on the road after a two month hiatus. Due to my reduced mileage at the moment I couldn't justify taxing two cars, so sorned the 75 and ran my MR2 daily to keep the miles off the Rover and take advantage of the top-down weather.
The 75 has been on a trickle charger and once unhooked fired up on the button with no effort and no top end clatter. Took her out for a quick spin round the block - it was a joy being back behind her wheel again. Now she needs a scrub ahead of Sunday's event at Gaydon.

Fitted an extra set of fuel pipes from the tank to the engine bay after breaking the plastic end where it fits into the filter. I'll just connect the fuel feed for now so I can move the car; it's planned for an eventual proper rebuild being a unique spec.
Taking the spare saloon for mot tomorrow. |

Today I removed the from seats to lube up the gears for the motor adjustment and gave them a damn good vaxing, even though I did them quickly when I first got the car there was still plenty of muck came out of them and then also vaxed the carpet under the seats seeing as they were out. Discovers I’m missing the Clevis pin for the drivers side seatbelt adjustment cable so be looking for one of those now.

An thanks to Steve (Artic), I got a four switch trim fitted today. He had painted it himself and the colour match is not a kick in the backside off Technical Grey, yes the texture may be different but I’m quite happy to leave it as is just now
*its fits perfectly btw, after I took the pic I clicked it in properly on the right hand side |
