Echo everybody else's view on the thieves. I had hundreds of pounds worth of tools stolen during a break in at my father's garage, included rare tools I'd collected/been given for the old Norton I had at the time. Never saw any of it again.

Wouldn't have thought they'd be dumb enough to become a paid up member here to sell them. More likely to appear on Facebook.

I'm watching hard on all the Rover forums, and thanks to many in the Rover community who are keeping eyes open online. Thank you mate, means a lot after meeting you.

Well I joked I didn't get the grass cut before I left, so hopefully they stood in loads of dog mess that was in the grass in the dark. Lol.

I had a trailer stolen, in the not too distant past, so like Bazzateer, I can relate with how you are feeling.

To me, this is made worse by your belief that they made more than one visit, and I'm sure that you are right.

I wish you well for the future.

Thanks Mike, yes sadly the swearing filter would be heavily used if we wasted time describing it. Trailer theft was a big problem here over the pandemic for some reason also. Thankfully mine needed two wheels and tyres so they wouldn't have been able to use it, else perhaps it would have went also.

Who knows what cousin kissing scumbags think like mate.

Also for some reason I can't thank you for your post mate. Won't give me the option.

Also just as a follow up, I've had some people contact me with offers of free parts or cash donations and I'd like to say I'm beyond flattered but I can't take them.

I've had wonderful support from the Rover community and offers, but I would rather if you wanted to do something, please make a small donation to Cancer research instead of giving money to me.

It feels wrong and I understand its the kindness of people, but I feel there are far more worse off than me having a bad day because a bunch of car parts were stolen.

If someone is passing by a cancer charity box or someone is doing a collection, put an extra quid in if you can afford it and that alone would make me happy.

Cancer is something that has affected me personally in a big way, it's why I've done charity collections, runs, donations and the mma fight also and I always tell people if they want to thank me, throw a pound into a charity box next time they see one.

I feel it would be wrong for anyone to give me money or parts in the circumstances as it goes against my own personal standards.

Now i've had a few days now to get my head around it especially makes me feel this way, plus there are a lot more worse off happening in the world now, so it would be selfish and wrong as to me it would be taking advantage of strangers kindness.

I always tell people if they want to support the channel specifically then that's why I have the ebay shop with silly little goodies and the likes.

A few pennies made sits well with me via air fresheners sold, and if you choose to make a charity donation in the future on my behalf then the way I see it, then something positive has came from the whole situation.

Hopefully people understood my thinking, if my house had been robbed blind and we had lost everything I would reconsider, but at the end of the day, it's a bunch of car parts, not stolen pets, lost loved ones or people being bombed out of their own country by a mad man.

Colin,

That's a very positive perspective that you've put onto your loss.

Again, best wishes for the future.

Regards

Mike
