The BROWN slot is AGP
The WHITE slot is PCI If it's AGP, I'd still take it out and then re-seat it. Just to make sure all the connections are doing what they are meant to do.

Yup definitely AGP then. Does it just pull out or is there a knack to it?

Push down on the white clip, gently but firmly whilst gently assisting the card out with your other hand.

Leave it plugged into the mains but with the mains socket switched off. touch any metal part on computer casing to effect discharge to earth, Grasp the card with both hands on either end and wiggle gently end to end while pulling upwards. it will release easily. Refit is reverse of removal. When you think it is fully home hold the card with both hands thumbs on top and wiggle push fully home. It will seat with a stiisfying clunk when it's right. Bit like the feeling from a gear knob as it seats properly. Don't have white clip on Mac Last edited by GreyGhost; 12th November 2006 at 11:39.. |

I like them... nice ornaments I have a just a little P4 3.2 GHz PC that I built myself, bog standard beige case - no fancy case mods (I'm the only one looking at it so why bother with flashy lights) 2Gb ram, 2 X 300Gb SATA drives, 2 X 16x DVD burners, 512Mb Geforce 7800 graphics card, SoundBlaster Audigy 2 platinum, Artic cooling fans, Logitech G5 laser mouse and a Saitek eclipse backlit keyboard, and i stare at a nice Acer 19" widescreen LCD monitor I think i may have contracted geekitis.
