What you are describing is the current problem due to IE7 - can you confirm you are NOT using IE7? (This should work on any other browser)

I have been using IE7 for the last 6 weeks or so this problem only started on Monday/Tuesday when the snowflakes appeared.

just chucking my 10p's worth in, have you auto-updates installed and running? there was an IE7 update in the last few days that seemed to fix some problems, but made others worse... I don't suggest you roll back but, you may just have to wait until MS sort themselves out.

Tootall, it is highly unlikely to be caused by the 'snowflakes' more likely an 'autoupdate' or other change, I will PM you the url of a test page and let me know how it goes please
