Default Registry Clean Up Tools?

I have used some in the past but can't remember which ones I used.
Can anyone recommend a good one?

My computer has had some programmes removed and others installed and is running like a pig,

Thanks

CClceaner. Free one works, but the paid one is better. I first used it to remove antivirus software. There may be better ones out there but this does the job.

Rather daunting, but the best way to remove left over entries from removed software, is to use Regedit, then run a search for keys which match the name of the software you have removed - it will list them all, what you do then is remove them after making certain they are only relevant to that software.

RegCrawler does the above much quicker, but I'm not sure whether it is/was free.

I agree though, CC is very very good.

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.

As mentioned above, the paid for version of CCleaner is a very useful tool for registry issues, you can come unstuck with Regedit if your unsure what you are doing.

The free version of CC Cleaner is just as good as the paid its really good.. I've used it for years.. You will be amazed at the rubbish it removes it also has a registry fixer as part of the package .. http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner

Here's a link to Piriform's site 😜

using a registry cleaner will have minimal effect on speeding up the computer, see the following links for more info

another one for CC but I also use this

Very useful one click feature and never caused any problems.
