Windows XP
Why am I sitting up at this time of night?
Because Microsoft announced that after saying they'd no longer support XP, in view of the recently announced dangerous flaw in Explorer, they've decided to include XP in their attempts to cure the problem. So I fired up my old XP machine for the cure, the promised updates came through but have so far taken 1 1/2 hours to download. Luckily this PC has the "superior"? windows 7, so I can type this whilst waiting for the other PC to finish the update process. With a bit of luck it will finish in time for me to go to Duxford on Sunday. |

Just use another browser. Firefox or Aurora or (if you must) even Chrome.
They don't have the flaws Explorer has. |

Your post seems to suggest chrome is a bad browser, if anything its one of the better ones, not tried Aurora but would say chrome is better than Firefox any day of the week

Lol... people have been using Explorer for weeks, maybe even months with that flaw in it. But all of the sudden they don't dare to use the computer anymore because they discovered a flaw. Let me warn you in advance; every program always has flaws. Otherwise we'd never need security updates....
p.s. Chrome (in my opinion) is one of the best, but the biggest advantage is that it automatically updates in the background. You'll never be prompted do download anything. If Firefox did that, I'd rate it much higher. Opera is a bit similar to Chrome in many ways, and then there is also Safari which isn't to bad either.
