I think my main concern is being able to roll back to W7. I can take a disk image, etc but don't Microsoft trade up your licence to W10 meaning that your W7 licence is no longer valid?
I know it's easy enough to crack, but I like being legal!

Yes, got the invite on all my Windows systems.
I use Win 7 on my main workstation so will test it out on a laptop first for stability etc. So can't wait to get rid of Win 8. Hate it beyond belief.

I decided to give it a go. I signed up for the free upgrade. Just to see what I think of it.
If it's rubbish it's only a few hours work to put 7 back on it.

I have windows 7 on my main pc which is great. I hated windows 8 and changed it to 7. I may change to 10, from what I have seen so far it looks good. The main reason from changing from 7 to 10 for me would be that I can use windows backup to network storage. This feature was not available on entry level windows 7. I have signed up for upgrade but will give it a few weeks after release and read user opinions.
