I did a full install of Win 10 on the oldest of the two PC's running Win 7 I have, (the upgrade didn't work I tried previously) & all seems to be working well. But Hmmm. All the privacy data agreements that you sign to agree is rather alarming. Win 10 seems to be set by default to collect all this personal data.
I went through it & switched individual data collection off in the settings.
Also the lack of third party adblock slows this oldish PC down to almost a standstill with Ads.
I've ditched the edge & put it on firefox with UBlock origin & duck duck go search engine & now works much much faster than when I had it on Win 7

I think many problems people are experiencing are software and driver compatibility related issues.
I wouldn't disagree with that for one second.

It probably is Software, Driver related, but to someone like me with limited ability what does that actually mean and how can I make my machine compatible.?

If by SOON you mean July 2020, then you are correct that there will be no more support for Windows 7 after then, however the support for Windows 7 will continue long after this date, just as it has for XP. Whilst I am at it, how are you enjoying the new telemetry hidden within Windows 10, does it feel good to know that MS are spying on your every move? The telemetry reports on EVERYTHING you do on your PC, online, offline whatever. Oh and how are the 2 updates going that MS have released since Windows 10 launched, that have both killed the client PC's and home users are unable to prevent?

Hi.
I'm far from happy with my new Asus laptop my family bought me. I really don't like Windows10 and am considering doing a full format and installing Linux Mint 17.2 that I use on my main PC.
