I'll ask in the VM support group what it is.

Thanks for all your help gentlemen, the router was supplied by Virgin and on inspecting the bottom it does say username virgin & password.
Followed GG walk through and I now have wireless connectivity, the icon says, Connected to (network name) 54.0 Mbps Signal Strength Excellent, But unfortunately I cannot connect to the internet wirelessly! I can connect through the router by cable but as soon as I unplug it, I loose my connection! |

High quality advice, GG.
If the router isn't brand new out of the box, I always recommend a reset in order to start with defined settings.

No Tatts my laptop is connected to the router wirelessly but I can't connect to the WWW!
Strange thing this! When I plug a wireless USB adaptor into my Desktop and unplug the cable, it retains connectivity to the net! |

It's ages since I set my modem & router up...
However. Try: Turn both your PC's off. Reboot the modem. Take the power lead out of it for 2 mins & power it up. Reboot the Router. Take the power lead out of it for 2 mins & power it up. Start the PCs. Hopefully Windows will find all the connectivity details and you'll be online.
