Default Walnut Trim

Rave lists some walnut trim pieces, and shows how to retro-fit them, under accessories.

Interesting, these are not included in either of my approved accessories brochures, 1999 & 2001.

Did they, I wonder, get listed later than this.

Thanks for any answers.

Mike

Interesting. What walnut parts are they?

In a nutshell, they are for all of the radio's, both rotary switch and ATC heater panels and the driver's door window switches (2 & 4).

Effectively therefore 3 items for any one car.

In detail, they are:-

VUB 112150 Harmony Radio
VUB 112160 Symphony Radio
VUB 112170 Symphony, with Navigation
VUB 112180 High Line TV, with Navigation
VUB 112210 ATC Panel
VUB 112220 Manual Temp. Control
VUB 000280 Drivers Door (front electric windows)
VUB 000290 Drivers Door (front & rear electric windows)

They are found under

75, Accessory fitting instructions, sort by description, wood trim kit (last item, after warning triangles)

Regards

Mike

I've just realised that as the Harmony radio is included in the walnut trim list, and the Blaupunkt, Kenwood etc. aren't, it is unlikely to be in later accessory brochures.

Could this be an item that never got marketed?

Can't help 're whether they were ever marketed but if you want the extra trim you can try the chap in Bulgaria (Simon?) Who does them in resin.
A search on here will reveal all.

You could get the cubby lid and window switches for the European market 😎

Thank you to both Bazzeteer and suzublu.

I'm only after a few bits, as my saloon came with a very comprehensive amount of this extra trim, all still in perfect condition.

My Tourer also came with a near full set, although 1 door switch panel and the ATC panel could do with replacing. I may also add a little bit more to this car.

Unfortunately, Simon has apparently not been contactable for a while (see other walnut thread)

Regards

Mike

Really? I got some bits from him a couple of months ago. Have you tried emailing him? It may take a few days to get a reply.
