Default What is the car telling me?

I've had the car 15 years now. A couple of days ago it started making a single high pitched beep as I turn off the ignition, never heard it before. There's no visual warnings on the IPK and car behaves perfectly normal. Any ideas what it is telling me? There has always been a lower pitched sound a few seconds after switch on, but that is to tell me there's no phone connected and there's a brief message "NO PHONE" on the radio screen.

I've read somewhere that when the key fob battery needs replacing, the car gives a warning.
Could it be that?

Mine has done that quite a few times now.----I subsequently found out why.---I was touching the button on the key body as I turned off the engine.----

The beep is not the horn , it's the sounder in the dash . Changed the fob battery, still doing it, about 2secs after switch off. Def. not me pressing the button at switch off , I've owned the car long enough to avoid that. It's just started doing it this week every time the ignition is turned off. Never heard it before .I have no clue what it's indicating???

Yes, they work fine , different tone beep when reverse engaged. The tone I am getting is higher frequency than any other warning noises, never heard it before this week and I've had the car 15 years and it's coming up to 20 years old.

No, the car is pretty much original equipment only. There's a dashcam but that's been there a couple of years and the beep is still there if the cam is left unplugged
