Head Gasket (multi cylinder failure)
Hello, My ZT has suddenly started to “chug” and lose a bit power!, I took to garage to get gear linkage cables repaired and asked him to check this. He has said it’s showing multi cylinder failure, head gasket as the engine is all “loose”?, also traces of oil in water.
Does this suddenly happen??, as I always check the oil and water and it hasn’t been losing any!, It’s going to cost approx £750!😩😩, I’ve booked it in as had it from new 18 years and it’s worth it, I haven’t used it since, is it advisable not to use it at all till he can repair it??. I would have a run up to fencehouses and let turbo dave have a look, he knows the 1.8 inside out and will give you an honest opinion.

If you can make it to Seaton, Gary Nelson can have a look, he's generally not as busy as Dave and I can give you a lift home if needed

Either way, £750 seems a pants down price....
