Default Week 3 out of 4

Feeling a Bit S*** now.. doing a 4 week stint of topical Chemo..

for Actinic Ketratosis , ( long term skin damage issue).
As I was a Ginger during my younger years, and you never think about the long term when young .

Gone from Slightly Dry skin to looking like I've got something horrid

Supposedly all this is going to help ... but face is Dry , Flakey,

bright Red and sore due to the reaction with the Efudix Fluorouracil..

some pretty awful photos on the web

It had better work after going thro' this

I'm very sorry to read about this, and wish you all the best for your post treatment time.

If it might take your mind off it for a while, I'd like to hear about your blown Norton, as probably others here would as well.

Was it when George Brown was campaigning Nero, and then Super Nero (Vincents of course) if that's not insulting your age?

Apologies if it is, but for perspective, I was a bike cleaner / tea boy for one particular rider at the 1964 Manx GP. so getting on for 60 years ago.

Regards

Mike

GB and Nero a little bit before me. I was very late 60's early 70 "
If I remember Alf Hagan was running then.
I used to work in the same office as Dennis Priddle at Westland Helicopters

Moved on 4 more weeks, no one said the pain was worse when you stopped the treatment .
But gradually getting my complexion back .

Getting a bit stir crazy being housebound for so long, and now I've managed to pick up some virus, (only been out once to the surgery. ) hot n cold shivers, aching limbs, sore throat, hurts to swallow, a real "pain" with all the pills I take
At least I have something else to moan about.

Sicky bloke back.

Seems due to my diabetes and the recent chemo my immune system is very poorly and I've picked up a bacterial ear and throat infection. No idea how as not been out for weeks .?

So on a course of strong antibiotics

So now with the diabetes tablets I've got 20 tabs a day to take , not fun as swallowing is extremely painful

Hopefully can only get better
