How do I shrink a photo?

I was wanting to add a signature photo but I dont know how to make it a suitable size it just seems to come out MASSIVE
It is a photo on one of my Photobucket albums by the way

You need some shrink software.

I just googled "free photo shrink software" and there's loads to choose from!

Or, you can email it me & I'll shrink it for you.

You could use 'Microsoft Paint' which is probably already installed (Under Accessories on XP). Open your photo then go to Image, Stretch/Skew and adjust the Stretch Horizontal and Vertical % to resize the image. Then save as a different name.

I use a Microsoft app and would recommend this if you are running Windows XP. Go to:

download "ImageResizer.exe"

After install, go into your photos and right click on an image file there will be an option to "Resize Pictures".

You're given some default image sizes, or if you click Advanced you can enter a custom size. The app also defaults to making a copy of the image, so you don't compromise the resolution of your originals. The resized picture is then saved in the same folder as the original, with a revised name.

Tried that & it doesn't give me the resize option

Photo/image resizing and other handy stuff is very easy to do in this free application called Photofiltre: http://photofiltre.en.softonic.com/

I use it all the time and it never fails to amaze me what you get for free.

Glad you sorted it.....

You should have a photo software program (CD) that came with your digital camera, something like Photo Impressions or Photo Studio etc. Install the program if you haven't already and you will be able to do loads of cool things such as edit your photos by copying, cropping, pasting, layering, using a magic wound etc......

You will be able to resize a photo by exactly to the pixel or to a certain custom personal size feature. To use the full potential of the signature pic option on the forum, you can customise your photo to be exactly 500x175 pixels.

You can even create a animated GIF image using your own photos, its great fun....
