Default Coal - the black market?

Now we are going to be banned from buying coal and wet wood to burn in our houses
Whatever next?
Will we have to find a 'contact' who can furtively sell us black gold to continue to keep the home fires burning?

The UK's net zero emissions commitments by 2050 thing isn't just about transportation! Have a read up on what they plan to do with cattle/farming/dairy/land management etc

If they ban coal and log burning, I’ll find a few fat politicians to chop up and put on the fire, that should keep the heat going.

Smokeless coal products and dry wood will be unaffected.

Simples: Dry the wood by the fire before you put it on.

Last week it was the end of gas boilers for central heating - this week no coal or wood, so we all switch to electricity - oh, no, the cars need it all! Even the Chinese cannot build power stations that quick!

You must remember with global warming we won't need central heating.

What interests me is that this is for domestic use and commercial use is exempt.
Domestic use of coal is only 4.3% (Government figures) https://assets.publishing.service.go...ice_GOV.UK.pdf

Regarding the comments about China, their annual usage of coal is 4,361,427 versus our consumption of 66,585 (1000 of ton).

The soft target is, yet again, the person in the street.
If worldwide consumption is taken into account, this legislation has an impact of with so many "0"s after the decimal place it is insignificant.

In my view environmental BS
