Default Email issues

I've just received an email from a person I bought stuff from this week with a link to god knows what as sky has blocked it.
The message is a reply to an email I've supposedly sent which I haven't in fact my email is included in the list of people this has been sent to.
It looks as though it's been sent to loads of people judging by the number of contacts on the list none of which I recognise.
Judging by the email it's been rude what ever was supposedly sent how can I stop this as it looks as though they have been sent by myself?

I get loads of this sort of "address harvesting" (they get the addresses by a spybot searching for them on many sites we have visited) so I would delete it as it is spam, and only worry if anything comes back, it won't.

Thanks for reply was more the fact it's went to this person and they thought it was me sending whatever it was.
I've emailed explaining it wasn't me that sent it just wondered If there was a way to stop them from happening.

I "received" a very strange one from my brother-in-law's email address the other day containing an attachment which I did not open. He had had medical problems and has not used a computer for four years.

If it seems as if you have sent it - check the header information, your email address and login details maybe have been compromised on the account. Best to get in touch with who ever provides the account and ask them to change the password on your account as a matter of urgency.

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.

I've changed my password as a matter of coarse and I've emailed there customer services but from a few threads on the internet I won't hold my breath seams to be common with hotmail.

May need to look at changing email provider.

Any tips on which is best or better?

Hotmail, I read somewhere, have had their server hacked a few times. I've never had any problems with my ISP's provided email addresses.
