Default What have people used to seal an inlet manifold

Decided today to rip the innards out of my manifold (2.0 v6) as it had become really rattley or noisey and dont have the money to replace it at the moment, didnt take long to get it off but splitting it was a nightmare still got it open and 2 of the little flaps were detached from the arm due to wear. Anyway cleaned it up and put the cover back on wasnt really sure what to seal it with so went for a 2 part epoxy jobby seems pretty good put the manifold back on the engine started it up and you could hear the leaks and the engine was reving and hunting. took it off again and have used a high polymer glue /sealer leaving it over night to cure, has anyone else done this and what have you sealed it with.

Epoxy will certainly do the job, if properly done.
