Default Buying a car with private plates which aren't included

Hi wondered if anyone can help here, if I was to buy a car in Northern Ireland and the seller States the plates are not included in the sale what happens.

Only asking as I contacted the seller to ask if it was still for sale and haven't had a reply back

Thanks

I sold a car last year and kept the plates that were on the car, but I had to apply to dvla and they then provide a new registration number for the car and I had to get new number plates made up with the new number on the car

Dvla also sent a tax disc with new number on

Hope that helps

So the seller should have done all this already then and just stating that the plates on the car are not for sale

Yes you should find the paperwork has been dealt with to change the number.
Usually and where possible they will try to return the car to it's original number so long as this is still available.

Hi.
My car had private plates before Ennine bought the car and it was returned to its original number. Ennine actually gave the car a nice nickname (My Fair Lady) as the last three letters are MFL. It's the sellers responsibility to ensure the paperwork is all done prior to the sale, if not he could loose the plate.
