Default driving across Europe in the V6 later in the summer

OK planning a slightly bonkers trip to Belgium and then up round Germany and France in one of the V6s later in the summer. Should be fun. Wondering out loud what sort of bits I should stock up on and ram into the boot for emergencies (aside from the obligatory triangles and safety stuffs)

5 of us took 5 V8s down to Croatia and back, 16 countries in 10 days or so.

You'll be fine

Camembert, Trappist beer, emergency euros, and some sort of wine. That should see you right. Or were you thinking of the car?

A front spring or full strut, a rear spring, a drop link and a full size spare tyre.

Why springs and drop links, well at least if one snaps your not totally stuck then.

Good advice! I have done the springs though so all new and it had drop links for the MOT so feeling a bit prepared now!!

Full sized spare interesting ; in 1999 I had a puncture on my original 75 at Eurodisney and had to drive back through Paris on a space saver... NEVER again!

I'd check the fuel filter to ensure it doesn't come apart, 2003 cars will have later filter.

Spare auxiliary belt.

Cam and crank sensors

Hose amalgam tape.

Check front engine oil cooler pipes before setting off.

Check thermostat for leaks before setting off.

one off front and rear brake hose.

Spare fuses

Mega fuse

I'm planning almost the same journey for next year! The plan is France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Italy, France. But towing a caravan
I thought it too much of an ask of my beloved Rover, which is why I thought it best to buy a Land Rover instead!
