I have a friend who is due back later this week, I can ask him when he is back if it helps?

I know on his trip out he reckoned the roads were more deserted than normal. The local town is also a lot less busy than usual and there favourite restaurant is still closed.

He has a house out there and usually visits it half a dozen times a year but this is his first trip.

Travelling through France is ok.
It's only if you stop and get out of your vehicle in France that you will then have to quarantine upon your return to the uk
The Mrs drove to Germany and back over the weekend (extended)

My friend arrived back from France today, he reckons it was almost normal but there appeared to be more security at Calais.

The biggest difference between there and here is he reckons a lot less places are open in the part of France he was in.

He is now on two weeks isolation, he is going to adhere to it as apparently some one from his work had a spot check and has to pay a £400 fine after returning from Spain and not isolating.
