Be Wary - Virus Is Still There.
So many people will have been lucky not to have been affected by the virus, so logically with the reduction in restrictions, they will and in some cases already be "out on the town".

The virus is still out there and many, many people will still have to meet it, subsequently enduring the losses and trauma, the nursing staff will still have to work their socks off.

Stay very wary of those around you and your loved ones, this has a long way to run. IMHO.
As this current thread discusses, the threat is still out there, but we now have the opportunity to have vaccines and boosters and more understanding. The original thread was closed due to quibbling of people over points not necessarily concerned with the post........don't let it happen again, be wary and keep an eye out for others.

Couldn't agree more Jon. Took a stroll through our nearest town today and the absence of masks and the general attitude to 'safe distance' was remarkable. Throwing caution to the winds is a stupid thing to do. Motto: don't let your guard drop.

The government has taken off all restrictions creating the impression with many people that it’s all but over.

500 have died of this in the last two days, maybe they are going back to the herd immunity theory?

The wife was speaking to her Niece in Belgium at the weekend, they still have mandatory mask wearing unless you are eating or drinking in all situations. She was shocked to here how it is here. Apparently they can even be fined for not masking up.

I suppose it will be survival of the fittest or in this case most intelligent?

What information do some people need, 1000 people a week dying, 10k in hospital and nearby quarter a million a week catching it and isolating.

The government is pretending it’s all but over. All other countries have restrictions. BoJo is a natural risk taker. Who knows where we will be in two months time.

Very few people around here wear masks, often I am the only one in the shop with one on and same goes for people using the sanitising stations.

That said, whilst still high, the trend over the last couple of weeks showing infections, hospitalisations and sadly deaths is showing a peak of around a week ago and now in a decline. Maybe, just maybe the wave has peaked.

To encourage the uptake of vaccinations, I think we should adopt this Austrian initiative:-

The mask instruction was never lifted in Scotland, I believe Wales and NI are the same, it was only lifted in England.
