I've found that a little bit of valve grinding paste on a cross head will give you more grip too, if they are stubborn. (Tip from my old dad)

Mike i have moved / undone many a slam panel torx screws with them, as above a little tap on the head helps reforming if rusted, great also for getting out the torx at the back of the fan motor, you get also use a ring or ratchet spanner in conjunction with the.

Often more useful than a manual impact driver, which can sometimes be difficult to get the "pre-twist" required when at arms length, or when the screw is into something "not so solid"!

Very true but when the screw is easy to get at this type of tool is very valuable as it also tends to re-make the slot.---
