Door sill button link rod dropped off
Has anyone ever come across the door latch 'pop up' button rod ever dropping off its location on the latch unit and dropping into the door?
I noticed today that the button on the front passenger door which indicates whether the door is locked or not had disappeared, after removing the door card the rod was in the bottom of the door, can it be replaced without removing the door latch - I assume that somehow the rod has come out of the green clip on the latch and fallen off, I haven't had the opportunity to investigate further as it is too dark now, I'm hoping that it can be just put back in place and clipped back into the green clip on the latch, Steve

This is quite common, the metal rod just pops back into its location without having to remove the solenoid, just feel for the small round nylon clip that it fits into.

A course in Gynaecology is always useful for doing this.
