Morning all, Grey damp & murky here. What a performance last night waiting for the RAC to show up! They hadn't got a vehicle big enough to transport the Ford Kuga in the vicinity, She rang them at 5:10pm when it broke down & the the vehicle turned up at 00:05 She couldn't run the engine to keep warm as there was no clutch pedal to depress to get it started.

It's been left outside our house & now we have to arrange to get it transported to the garage.

I'm hoping that will be the end to it. I guess they will then want me back for a follow up to check that it has done the trick.

There is further treatment than can be offered if it isn't successful. Injections into the eye or possible surgery. Neither sound much fun so I'm hoping that this will work.

Once the final procedure is complete I need to have a specialist eye test done for the DVLA to check my vision is good enough for me to still drive. You can lose some of your peripheral vision with the laser treatment. Hoping that won't be a problem for me.....Fingers crossed.

Looking forward to seeing some of your Flora and Fauna photographs to brighten our moods back in dreary old Blighty

Tax returns.........enjoy

I'm off up to Colchester in a few minutes.
Ros has her follow up appointment at the Oaks Hospital where she recently had her cataract removal and new lens.
It seems that trips to Colchester and our eyes are going to be popular this week!!

I won't be allowed in so might catch you all from the hospital car park on the phone to keep me amused
Morning Jeff, thank you for the update about Ros, please pass on our best wishes to her for a speedy recovery. It’s positive you have a treatment plan and you know where you stand. Thinking of you today and hope you will be okay.

You know how in emails, you can read the first five lines of an email before opening one up. I came across a strange email

“on the day of the hack, your password blah blah is blah blah. Now let’s get to the point”.

A very old password I had not used for years. The nasty email - I didn’t open it up, deleted. So now I am changing all of my passwords

What is it with brown sauce? Can't stand the stuff myself. But each to their own. Now gammon & eggs with pineapple I'll definitely help out with .

Quizzie is off out to meet Bridget soon. It'll be even more daft than usual as Bridget has just finished a season so they haven't seen each other for a couple of weeks or more. Bertie might be in the mix too. Wish the humans luck .

Take care.
Love Brown Sauce but has to be HP or Chippy Sauce

Morning Andy and welcome to the day.

You asked the question about brown sauce. It’s hard to come by in Nairobi, along with Branston pickle and Marmite. So for us, HP sauce is a treat. A former colleague, an Endoscopy sister had a problem with her husband going into a rage over ketchup. He literally saw red and would go into a tantrum every time he saw a bottle of tomato sauce. I guess he couldn’t stand the stuff or was it the colour red.

Much the same here, up at five to prepare Ging's food for work, dayshift. Went back to bed about 6:30 but wide awake again just after seven when the girls heard the old boy next door going out, then next door got a delivery of gas cylinders, that sent the girls mental again, they went nuts again when they heard the old boy come back . . . . what's the point, got up.

Back home after my second round of treatment..
It was a bit more painful this time. I'm guessing it depends on the area of the eye that is targeted. The procedure was a little uncomfortable but nothing more. The pain post procedure is worse this time though. Got a bit of a headache and a throbbing sensation behind eye sockets.
I've taken some pain relief and hopefully will feel better later.

This is the treatment I'm having.....

Ros's follow up appointment yesterday went well. The surgeon was happy with her post op recovery. She will be getting her other cataract surgery done soon hopefully.

LCOZ/Emergency Ward 10 Knackered after doing a bit in the front garden. I hope this blood test(s) gets to the bottom of why I've no energy.
