The Contemporary models cost approx. £400 over the Connoisseur models.

For that you got.

Sports seats.
Dark Oak dashboard.
De-chromed all around.

Plus one or two extra's depending on whether SE model.

I thought the connoisseur spec was MK1 models and Contemporay was MK2 but there were less goodies in the MK2 compared to MK1.

Yes that's correct....Contemporary replaced the Club with the facelift model and there was the Contemporary Se, these were mean't to appeal to younger buyers to the Rover.....they are very nice with sports style seats...more like a halfway house to the ZTs.

The contemporary also has a very large ugly grill on the front. Very Audi looking..

When the facelift model was introduced the Contemporary replaced the Club model in name only.

The order of specification was.

Classic, Connoisseur, Contemporary, Connoisseur SE, Contemporary SE,

The mk.1 Rover 75 specification order was.

Classic, Classic SE, Club, Club SE, Connoisseur, Connoisseur SE,

The facelift 75 that was closest to the Club spec. and in price, would have been the Connoisseur.

oooh they have the best seats in the contemporary, would really like some heated black leather in my zt but seem as rare as a lottery win.
